TC is OVER… now what?

EIGHT WEEKS of tracking your workouts, making nutritional habits, sleep habits, recovery habits, and learning where your new baseline is.

WOOF!

First of all, give yourself a HUGE pat on the back. You have made it through the hardest part of setting a new routine. Now you just need to stick to it. What’s the best way to stay on top of your goals? SIGN UP FOR THE NEXT CHALLENGE!

DriTri is Orangetheory’s semi-annual challenge. The OTF original DriTri consists of a 2000-meter row, 300 bodyweight reps, and a 5K on the treads, and the Strength challenge splits up a 900 meter row with 150 reps of weighted exercises, ending with a 1-mile tread with an incline to complete. It is the next major challenge in this year’s series of challenges (I.e. Mayhem, HellWeek, TC). A great way to think of this is like the ultimate benchmark. And despite how it sounds, anyone of any level can complete it. That’s right, even you!

This all sounds great, but how do you prepare for it?

  1. Show Up! : To best prepare for a challenge of such caliber, don’t back off the gas pedal on your fitness journey! Remember, two times a week is great for maintenance, but three to four times a week is how you make changes! So, before all else, keep showing up and keep challenging yourself in class!

  2. Stay Up-To-Date : Your OTF app will always show you what special workouts are coming up for the month. JUMP ON THEM! You will have four specialty workouts/challenges/benchmarks prior to DriTri. Take advantage of them as they are made to help prep you for it!

  3. Connect with DriTri Veterans! : They know what it feels like and they can help you calm down and help you give their points of view before the date! Also, connecting with other members can help create the cheer squad or teammate in the room with you.

  4. Stay On Top of Nutrition : Stay aware of how you are eating! You want to remain fueled and ready to go. Are you getting enough carbs? Protein? Fats? And, of course, HYDRATE!

  5. Recover : Over-training is real. Give yourself the recovery days to really allow your muscles to heal and let your body do what it does best!

If you have any questions, reach out to your OTF staff! They will always be ready to answer any questions or concerns you may have!
